In 2023, I moved back to KC to join the team at Crane Brewing as the Events & Marketing Manager and pursue new dreams.
At Northwest Missouri State, I coordinated a number of events in my positions on the Sigma Society and homecoming executive boards, as well as for my marketing & promotions internship with Bearcat Athletics.
I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and a master’s degree in Business Administration.
I was the Entertainment Coordinator for the Harrah’s Stir Cove concert series in Omaha in 2017.
Later I went back to Northwest to take on the position of Assistant Athletic Director of Marketing, Promotions, & Licensing.
In 2019, I was recruited to be the Director of Marketing & Promotions for the athletics program at University of Central Arkansas.
While working for Crane, I took on the role of Social Media Manager for the Sold by Colby Team. During that time, I discovered a passion for real estate and decided to become an agent on the team. I am now a licensed Real Estate Agent with ReeceNichols Lee's Summit on the SBC Team, and I love helping my clients find their next home!
Through all of these seasons of life, I always knew I wanted to own my own business. I tried a few different MLM companies over the past few years, but nothing really stuck. I never fell head-over-heels for anything.
After moving back to KC, I was in a meeting with the owner of Pottery Pub, Amy, and she asked me if I knew someone who would be willing to help her with social media management. After running 12 different team social media accounts over the last five years, I figured I could handle it.
I also used to decorate athletic events with balloons, so I started making more balloon arches for personal events and for friends and family, but I never thought I could make a business out of it. Once my balloon requests and social media clients started to grow, I decided it was time to bet on myself with Mack Curio.
Outside of Mack Curio, you can find me hanging out with my two sweet pups, Yazzy & Yadi, and my amazing fiancé, Kyle. I am a big sports fan, I love to travel, and I have a slight obsession with craft beer.
I have always been a colorful, outgoing, and quirky person, so I wanted my company to show that. I wanted people to ask what Curio meant. Not only according to the dictionary but also what it means to me.
I remember growing up and seeing Curio cabinets in all my family members’ houses. I loved how everyone featured their special and unique items. That’s what I want to do with my business: I want to make everyone’s party uniquely special.
I want every client to have a custom package and distinctive message. No one technique works for everyone, so finding that Curio way of doing things is important to me.
